A couple of days ago Devoted Spouse planted a few tomato plants and some green and red pepper plants for me in our garden. We have much more to plant, but this is a start. Usually we don't put anything in the ground until after Mother's Day -- as here in OH you can still get a frost up until that time. So what is forecast for tonight and tomorrow night? FROST - We grabbed all the dog towels we could find and some bricks and the garden looks like something from the Addams Family! Oh crap on a crutch!

Around here we don't put any tender plants into the ground until Memorial Day. Hope everything will be okay. I had to laugh at the dog towels. Our dogs have nearly as many towels as we do!
ReplyDeleteOh I do so hope that the plants are safe for the next few nights. I think it is a good thing you put the towels over them to keep them safe.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Sandy & Mrsupole - The towels will be over the plants for at least one more night - I knew better but did it anyway. Ya'll know me...
ReplyDeleteI've had to use black trash bags many times to cover tender plants. Makes my garden look rather spooky. I bet the garden will survive and thrive.
ReplyDeleteSteppin - I hope it makes it. I think we're almost done with frosts here. Now they need some rain - but the housepainter is coming. LOL It's always something around here!
ReplyDeleteAh! Frozen veggies! ouch
ReplyDelete@TheDivineMsG - the good news is the veggies made it. The bad news is the weeds also made it. sigh.
